<p>I live in NC and no one has even heard of Berkeley here. I am going to Duke. My family is from Lebanon and they have heard of: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, and Duke. The reason is that in foreign countries the top schools reputation of Duke plus the reputation its sports team gets it really is extraordinary. Moreover, Duke has like the best study abroad program ever.</p>
<p>They are both good schools though, of course. Arguing that Berkely is more prestigious is SOOOOOO far-fetched though. MIT, Duke ,and Stanford are all ranked in the top 10 over Ivy Leagues for a reason.</p>
