Dungeons and Dragons on an art school kid's resume and/or Common App?

“I think it’s fine to put it on resumes in the “Additional Information/Personal” section at the end of the resume so interviewers get a feel for your personality, what you like to do in your free time, etc. However, it should not be a highlight of your accomplishments/skill sets as it has a stigma of being primarily role-playing entertainment, played by introverts and dare I say nerds.”

I TOTALLY understand this POV. But things change.

“it has a stigma of being primarily role-playing entertainment, played by introverts and dare I say nerds.”
Yeah, for STEM parents…move into the “art and game world”…it looks different.

Well in my mom’s defense we lived one town over from the Wyley Gates case (a teenager who killed several family members and supposedly planned it via D&D)…so our community and local religious leaders etc were a bit worked up over it.

But my brother did a whole research paper and presented it to my mom (who was a teacher at the time) and he eventually effectively argued to get his game pieces back (little did she know he still had the books etc!)
