Dying younger.

Those are good points swimcatsmom. For example my mother was in office work, but her last job was in a factory ( Boeing). She said the paint fumes from the workers around the corner really bothered her ( she had severe asthma), in fact the noise & the smells prompted her to retire in her early 60’s.

On the other hand, it is also genes. The two main jobs that H has had have been in a shipyard & @ Boeing. For years he has had worked every other weekend most months, and barely has slowed down at all.

Considering he doesn’t really exercise ( except for skiing, walks around the neighborhood & his job), eats fast food every week, smokes cigarettes, is the opposite of relaxed, it doesn’t seem fair that he is in fairly good shape, while I did everything you are supposed to do & am falling apart.
His parents are also in relatively good shape considering their lifestyle, whereas mine have been gone for years. :frowning: (& mine both attended the UW, inlaws have just a high school diploma)

* In contrast. we like to believe that OSHA and EPA have been working to minimize exposure to harmful workplace*

Well ya, we’d like to believe it, but can we?
