<p>jrhdjh: I know it’s the most rigorous available, and that’s why I’m frustrated. My child has taken the most rigorous courseload (which includes 5 AP classes senior year and all honors until then, because that is what was available). Also a 2000+ SAT. As mentioned I won’t go into the ECs as supposedly they are not part of EA, but they are outstanding. </p>
<p>I really think the fact that some schools not only offer AP 9th grade but give 6 points for an AP class really creates an uneven playing field. Even with the most rigorous courseload, with essentially no weighting, there is no way to compete with kids who have weighted GPAs approaching and above 5.0.</p>
