<p>“Students can generally major in what they want to and can easily change their major, with the exception of some that have special prerequisites, auditions, or gpa requirements, such as business, music, theater, engineering, or nursing.”</p>
<p>I believe that Art Design & Art History, also have a specific prerequisite to be admitted to the major, as does School of Media Arts & Design.</p>
<p>Some of the “restricted programs” at JMU have an opportunity to audition, portfolio review, interview for admittance to the program directly as a freshman. Other “restricted programs” have specific prerequisite requirements to be completed at the college level, and the application to the major takes place at the end of freshman or sophomore year.</p>
