<p>All but one of my friends who went to APEA was admitted. The only guy who didn’t get admitted got a C in a course.</p>
<p>Early admission and Early Action are two different things. The only Early Action CMU offers is for APEA-- non-binding, and you can apply other places.</p>
<p>If you do well in summer courses and have a great high school record – you’re in!</p>
<p>Pick your summer classes wisely-- not taking two weeders!
I took ECE and nearly died-- but got an A. I also took 123 – which was intro to C-- but that was replaced in our new curriculum. So it didn’t really help me with anything other than relearning C in a more formal setting.</p>
<p>If you have $7000 for summer classes-- take it and you have an excellent shot at CMU - seems from the anecdotes 99% admit rate.</p>
