Early Action!

@theapg,
Virginia Tech has a recruitment program called Fall Visitation (this is not Fall Open House) where they invite URM’s, and other populations, like females for engineering, etc. It’s a weekend long program, but they give you a non-binding decision at the end of the weekend. I was handed my acceptance in an envelope at the end of the weekend in mid-October. I’m Latino, originally from Central America.
I can’t speak for W&M–I didn’t apply there.

I wonder why they deleted the thing about coffee… this is all Nancy Drew stuff you guys

UNC
Princeton (Deferred)
Michigan (Deferred, which really bothered me because people whom I consider inferior applicants from my school got in)
UPenn
Miami (FL)
University of Southern California
Lafayette
Northeastern
Rutgers Honors (Accepted)
Richmond

I wish I had seen the “coffee” message on the UNC blog site, it was gone before I got news of it…

I hope they realize this is taking our focus off of our schoolwork big time.

I think the blocking comments is more interesting than the deleted post. Either they got tired of us asking questions on their posts or they’re about to post something.

@EgginmyBiscuit

lol who focuses on school work second semester anyway. ALL I GOT IS CALC DOE

@southerndude the coffee post had nothing to do with anything. It was basically a pointless post telling us how the admissions office liked coffee or something weird like that. It definitely took me by surprise.

Northeastern-accepted
Fordham-accepted
UMaryland
Georgetown
George Washington
Syracuse
Boston U.
Southern California

Sent from my DROID4 using CC

Thanks Dreams…I was just wondering…:)

Haha I know I’ve just got some labs and an english project that are due for the 1st semester grading. But 2nd semester is about to get no love from this biscuit.

I had English first semester which I find really helps my ability to relax second semester. The only class I could have had work for was Calc but my teacher decided to have mercy.

I almost forgot I applied to UNC EA, it’s been so long. All my other EA schools I heard back from in December…

We have a year round schedule so I just get to have the same thing… woo hooo… not because high school is the worst

Yale
Duke
Harvard (accepted)
UNC-CH
Dartmouth

I applied to way to many:

American:
Barnard
Brown
Columbia
William and Mary
Drexel
Emory/ Oxford
Fordham (Accepted w/ scholarship)
Florida State (Accepted w/ honors and scholarship)
University of Florida
Georgetown
GW
Harvard…for laughs anyways
NYU
UMiami
UNC
Wake Forest
UPenn
Vassar
Wellesley

If you applied to Harvard and already got accepted, isn’t that binding?

Harvard is EA, not ED. Not many would chose Chapel Hill over Harvard though… Are you up for Morehead, collegebound?

UT-Austin (Accepted: College of Communication, Liberal Arts Honors and Plan II honors)
Princeton (deferred)
UNC
Furman
Stanford
Trinity U
Vanderbilt
Georgetown
Columbia

:) I probably won’t get in to most of those, but I could really be happy at any of them.

This wait is killing me! But it’s also getting me really fed up with the school…
Just to clarify: there’s no way that anyone knows if they’ve gotten in yet, correct? I heard a friend of a friend talking about how she was accepted to chapel hill among other places and I was wondering how that was possible.

No, I didn’t receive scholarship information from chapel hill yet. I really could care less about prestige and rankings which is why I am still applying to chapel hill. Obviously I’m considering Harvard, but I’m sure to be quite indecisive once I hear back from more schools.
