LKJ-you are in the ballpark. Good luck!

Little late to the game but…
I applied to
Clemson (accepted, waiting on honors)
University of South Carolina honors (accepted)
Washington and Lee
UNC-CH
Sewanee
UGA
Furman

Yes, you are fine LKJ…take a deep breath… Doubt I will get in, on the borderline, but it’s ok. I think you will though! Best of luck, keep us updated!!

Thanks everyone! I hope so!

Aw, I wish I were in-state… Being out of state makes everything so much tougher. Even so, Chapel Hill is one of my top choices, and I’d love to go there.

Hey think pink, we might cross paths ;)

Thinkpink, I also applied to uga and furman. And of course, unc!

haha woohooo. UNC is the dream and then 2. W&L 3. Sewanee or Clemson

My DS applied to:
U of South Carolina (accepted-Honors)
Appalachian State(accepted-invited to apply to Honors, awaiting notification)
NCSU (deferred)
UNC-W (accepted)
UNC-CH
Clemson
Campbell (accepted with scholarship)

Chapel Hill is his top choice so fingers crossed! Good luck to all of you! You are impressive students!

I think I need help.
I must have hit the refresh button at least 100 times over the course of today.

My SAT’s and EC’s are nothing to brag about but my courses are certainly good enough. Does anyone know if you get an interview when you get deferred (I’ve been told I’ve should get deferred)?

School choice:
- UNC
- everyone else

Egginmybiscuit I doubt you’d get an interview. I don’t even think Carolina does interviews

How much does Carolina need diversity?

Quick question:

How many 400-699 and 700-999 classes are recommended for undergrad students in their schedule?

Uh, none for the first semester and probably none for the first year. You aren’t even allowed to take classes higher than 700 unless you’re a grad student. You’ll mostly be doing 100 level classes your first year, maybe some 200 in math or foreign language.

Thanks for the reply!
Just curious. I haven’t been accepted yet of course, but I got accepted to a few others, so I was assuming it holds the same.
Apparently, one can request a 700-999 class w/special permission or something.

…and
nothing.
yet.

I really hope it’s tomorrow. It’s a bit much to have to wait longer.

On a different note, did anyone email them about a schedule change after their application was submitted? I asked them if dropping Calculus BC was okay, and I literally got a response that said, “Ok, that’s fine.” Obviously, it didn’t say that exactly, but that’s pretty much what I got from it.

@jonnathan I changed my schedule in the same way. Dropped calc bc at the beginning of the year but never emailed any of my schools. I figured that they’d see eventually, and I have five more AP’s so it shouldn’t make a difference.

So it’s looking like Friday, huh?
