<p>Probably slightly less than a third of the applicants will get in since it’s likely that the number of students in the incoming class coming from ED will increase to at least 45% by my guesses from the 43% it was last year.</p>
<p>I hate to be petty and this is definitely great for ED students but as a current student who had applied RD it’s a little annoying! I am still baffled to this day as to how I even got IN to this school since 39% of my class comes from ED applicants. I find it so unfair since (I think although I could be wrong) it’s done to increase rankings.</p>
<p>@daphne66, I think you should pick safeties based on schools that your daughter would actually be interested in attending rather than just applying to schools just because someone else who is also applying to NU ED said those are their safeties. What if she does not get into Northwestern -touchwood, I wish her the best- and is left only with safeties, all of which she hates?</p>
