<p>I might have found your realism offensive, perhaps, if I actually tried as hard as I could in school. The truth, however, is that I’ve given minimal effort. So, in a way, I’ve prepared myself (unintentionally…I hope) to be immune to offense regarding the academic record I’ve displayed so far. lol.</p>
<p>And I’m actually pleased with what you said; or, at least, some of what you said. If Depauw is actually a relatively good match, then I’m very happy. It’s a decently good school, it’s strong in math and science (I will likely major in something science-related), and they offer overgenerous amounts of financial aid. The financial aid part being the most important perk I mentioned.</p>
<p>I also added Bucknell as another reach. Other than the application fee, I didn’t see any reason not to. My chances might actually be better for Bucknell than they are for Grinnell. But that doesn’t really matter, I suppose, because my chances for both are quite small (but they are still, as many of you have pointed out, not impossibly low).</p>
