  1. They are different. Know nothing about you - interests, etc. Find the right one for you.

  2. Make sure you run the NPCs and can afford b4 u ED.

According to a post I found here 25% of applicants were accepted at CMU vs 17% RD. Cornell likely will also give an edge and some schools are filling more and more of their class ED. Penn, as an example, over half.
