LIKELY!!!

Finally, I’m actually going to college! It’s so amazing to know (well, almost) that I have the chance to go somewhere like wellesley! YAY. I was actually semi-calm opening the letter, but I celebrated later and I’m still smiling :)

Jawohl, likely.

Thanks everyone : ) It’ll work out… it’s just the ED rejection and Wellesley’s rejection in a row is a bit discouraging. But yes, Mini, I do study voice, and Smith/Barnard both seem to have better instruction/performance opportunities. Again, congratulations to all who got likelys… it’s a fabulous place, and if you all choose to go I’m sure it will be awesome.

possible, i know i gonna work through another round of competition now. I AM HAPPY WITH MY POSSIBLE! CHEER, PPL!!

Possible.
I don’t know about extra letters of rec, I might send them in a resume.
It seems that I fit in with others who are possibles too.
if you want to know my stats pm me. I wasn’t a likely though, so I don’t know if anyone is even curious.
but anyways, I’m happy. Slightly disappointed, but happy. <feeble grin=“”></feeble>

Possible as well. Not really sure how I feel about that, but it’s a good thing, right?

yes it is!

toffee, I feel like I see you at a lot of the same CC boards I frequent. Where did you apply? Just curious. :)

My D got a “Likely” letter. Happy, happy girl.

maintainyourvelocity, i applied to bryn mawr, wesleyan, swarthmore, BU, NYU, pomona, stanford, brown, and tufts and of course, wellesley. obviously a lot of reaches!

How many people are still waiting to hear regarding their EE decision?

i still haven’t got mine yet…i live in washington, so the mail probably will take a few extra days to get here. plus, my midyear report was faxed and mailed to Wellesley only 9 days ago.

We are on the west coast as well and I know my D’s midyear report was late, too.

unlikely!!!

goodbye wesleyan, gtown, and barnard.

I got a likely letter today. I live in Florida.

I got a possible. What do I do? I feel terrible and ok at the same time.

send extra letters of rec, another essay, etc!

Likely! I had told my mom not to open the letter, only to find her when I get home trying to figure out what it said in the envelope under a light. I’m sure she’ll have the technique down in time for April.

I applied to Smith, Mt. Holyoke, Bryn Mawr, & Scripps as well. It’s too bad my mom is adamantly againt me going to a women’s college. We’ve only visited Scripps, which I thought was beautiful, and even though the other Claremont colleges are right there (Claremont McKenna is quite nearly 100 yards away!), she won’t budge. Errr. At least I did apply to a few co-eds- Grinnell, Middlebury, Swarthmore (deferred), and Bowdoin.

Stats:
30 ACT, 1980 SAT, 710 Bio/E, 670 U.S., 3/83, 4.04W

Extra-curriculars
I ran a marathon last fall while raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am also run varsity track, am class president, volunteer with community organizations, and am involved in local agriculture. That’s just a snapshot.

I went to Harvard SSP '04 and fell in love with Boston. It’s a great city. I wrote my essay about it vs. life on the farm back home.

I wrote about Boston too! Best city on earth :D

Right, I’m getting kind of tired of putting these numbers down all over the place (for teachers, scholarships, colleges, etc), so this is going to be a very lazy job:

YES!! Now I know I don’t have to go to the University of Washington, which was the only school out of 9 I had already heard from. the UW is a great, truly underrated public university, but how can it compare to one of the best LACs in the country??

To the girls who got possibles–hang in there and do your best to wow them over (I’ve had to do it with the school that deferred my app SCEA)!! To those who received unlikelies–I’m sorry, but with your accomplishments I’m sure you’ll end up somewhere fantastic! Keep your hopes up!
