I got the early write on the 17th. I was… so surprised but so happy. My SAT scores were really low, and some of my other stats aren’t particularly impressive.

Female, Asian, MA, public high school
SAT I: below 2000
SAT II: all below 700 (Biology, U.S. History, Math, French)
Weighted GPA: ~4.5 (not sure what the unweighted one is)
Rank: 7/~270, top 5%
APs: English Lang, U.S. History, Biology, English Lit, Calc AB, U.S. Gov’t, Environmental Science, French
ECs: 5 clubs/associations and 4 leadership positions, piano, tons of community service, but nothing spectacular
Essay: It’s a weird essay but hopefully a memorable one.
Recs: I had two teacher recs. I read one of them and liked it. She wrote a lot about my talents and interests… And some stuff about my personality. My guidance counselor’s rec was just okay.
Other: I’m bilingual. During one summer, I had an internship. And I’ve been self-teaching myself Korean for nearly five years.

It took a while for me to finally realize I got accepted. I only read the acceptance letter and I had to leave somewhere for a couple hours… When I got home that night and saw everything else, including my financial aid stuff, I was so happy. I cried so much.

Congratulations to everyone who got in already!! And good luck to all the applicants still waiting!
