<li>Essays: kind of weird. my common app essay documented my train of thought as i completed a painting (the slide of the painting was included in my art portfolio, but i don’t know if swat directly sent portfolios to their art department.) the why swarthmore essay was done after swarthmore discovery weekend and was a quasi-continuation of my common app essay. </li>
<li>Teacher Recs: one excellent, the other one solid. </li>
<li>Counselor Rec: didn’t read</li>
<li>Hook (if any): weird essays? art portfolio? </li>
