Earthquakes - Are we missing something here?

Well that would have made some geololgy classes easier - if you don’t know the answer, blame it on women!

Don’t forget the cost of living in some of these utopian places. HI is pretty good for the most part–except for the VOG created by our volcano that has been erupting for 28+ years and the risk of hurricanes & tsunamis. We rarely have snow/hail problems tho. LOL!

Cost of living–especially housing & food is pretty astronomical! There was an open house yesterday, a 50+ year old single wall construction, open beam ceiling (no attic, no insulation, no basement & needs significant work including plumbing & likely electrical) home without any interior doors–no closet nor bedroom doors, listed for $699,999; it had already received MANY offers! The lot size is 7700 square feet & the house had 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms.

They said rents in HI require 137 hours/week at minimum wage to afford monthly rent in a modest 2 bedroom apartment at just under $1000 & was named as one of the most unaffordable places in the nation.

“Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases [CHEATING]earthquakes,” Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media. "

Changing a nonsense statement:

What if we replace [CHEATING] for “earthquake”…

Now what is scantily…that is the real question!!!

Is this scantily? Larry King’s scandal:

Or

Yikes, I know my daughter’s and her friends’ short hemlines caused her high school to ban skirts altogether. Had no idea the dress-code infractions stirred up the molten core of planet earth–THAT would have made a good college essay!

LOL, It could have been an awesome essay, a hit in the University of Chicago…

Thank you expert Aibarr. This confirms what I have suspected. It is just the ‘media issue du jour’. I see this a LOT in my area of research as well. It is not earthquakes but something else. The media latches onto it, and makes it into a perceived more frequent event when in fact all that has happened is a change in reporting.

The general population is led to believe that the frequency of events is related to media reports. It is not. At one time it was pit bull attacks. Another it was employees going postal. School shootings. Missing 20 year old men. And so on.

Starbright…absolutely!
Did you remember H1N1 flu…conferences, pandemic!
