@Prism123, what info do you have that it is easy for the OP to get admitted to GTech or UIUC for Engg.?

For UIUC ENG school, ACT 31-34, see the section on College Selectivity

<a href=“Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions”>http://admissions.illinois.edu/apply/requirements_freshman.html

For Gtech, for the overall school, incl. non Eng or CS

SAT 2050-2240, ACT 31-33

<a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission;

Moreover, GTech places more emphasis on GPA, rigor of coursework and ECs, then on SAT/ACT scores.

Also, since both these are state schools, they will have a more severe selection criteria for OOS applicants.

Compare the likes of Emory and Tufts (with Gtech) and you will notice that the stats of Gtech applicants are at the very least on par if not better for the class of 2014.
