I still make baskets/gift bags for my kids and their bfs if they are around. I only put practical items I know they ll use. I put 3oz sunscreens/cosmetics (for their travels), teas, coffees, pastel color socks, gardening items, small puzzles etc. Not a huge production.
As a kid, I never got Easter candy because my mother was very anti-sugar. Of course, I gave my kids Easter baskets with chocolate bunnies. I just sent my GD a basketāseveral books, an age-appropriate puzzle, Cadbury eggs and Peeps candy (which D and SIL will probably eat). Also, GD loves hunting for Easter eggs and wants to be a Martian bunny so I got her a headband with silver antenna.
Is there really such a thing as too many books??
@uwalummom Ha! Normally Iād agree with youā¦but one of Dās baby showers was a book shower (D & SIL are avid readers, but use the Library/libby). My 16 month old darling GB has close to 100 booksā¦
GD loves has a lot of books including an entire shelf full at my house. And there are favorites which she likes to look at/ be read to over and over.
We will celebrate Easter, Passover, Mothers Day, and our DDs birthday at the end of May. I have all of DDs and SILās favorites ready to put together for the Easter part.
Itās going to be a GREAT celebration!
