Anyone who said Communications may have easier material is completely wrong or shouldn’t assume. I know first hand that becoming and advertising/pr major is really difficult and requires a lot of dedication. The weed-out class, 318J is a hell story on its own. Anyone that took it will tell you that. Each semester some crazy amount of people try to get into adv/pr and only half make it through the first part. You’re not even safe yet. You still have to take these research intensive courses and media planning courses…etc. The point is the Comm. school is one of the best in the nation (and top 3 for advertising). UT didn’t get that recognition without any effort. The Comm. school is constantly turning out talented graduates giving UT a great name and impressing employees with their level of skills straight out of college. Why? Because the students were forced to work their ass off and earn their grade.
