"Eccentric" schools

Wow, Middlebury is NOT eccentric!

You have most of them I would have thought of but here in one place, in no particularly order,

Chicago, Swarthmore, Reed, Hampshire, St. John’s in Maryland, Bard, Wesleyan, Vassar, possibly Brown, New College in Florida, the New School in NYC, Brandeis, Sarah Lawrence and Bennington.

As you will note, a wide range of difficulty of getting in.

Well, honestly, I think eccentricity is in the eye of the beholder! I feel like Midd has the good kind of eccentric, not the overwhelming “I’m so different, look at my neon hair” kind that you find rampant at some schools :</p>

if middlebury is eccentric, everywhere is eccentric and you really should have titled this thread something along the lines of “schools with people” instead of “eccentric schools”

Yes! I call Midd quite middle of the road.
