Econ 200 First year?

<p>The course catalog is pretty clear about this:</p>

Mathematics Requirements. Students who have an interest in the major should take calculus at the highest level for which they qualify. Students enrolling in the MATH 13000s sequence must complete MATH 19520 before enrolling in ECON 20000.</p>

<p>Students enrolling in the MATH 15000s sequence must complete MATH 15300 before enrolling in ECON 20000. However, enrollment in ECON 20000 concurrently with MATH 15300 is allowed if a grade score of A- or higher is achieved in both MATH 15100 and 15200.</p>

<p>Students enrolling in the MATH 16000s sequence must complete MATH 16200 before enrolling in ECON 20000. Enrollment in ECON 20000 requires completion or concurrent enrollment in MATH 16300.

<p>To summarize: If you place into Math 15300 or 16300 or higher, you can start the Econ 20000 sequence in the fall of your first year if you take it concurrently with the last quarter of calculus (or you placed out of it). Otherwise you would start it in the spring cycle, and finish it winter of your second year. Which you might choose to do anyway if you needed to take Econ 19800 and/or 19900 first – you would do that in fall/winter quarter, then take 20000 in the spring.</p>
