<p>A couple good friends of mine did OR. It’s an intellectually rigorous curriculum (not EMS, but straight-up OR certainly is), and you’ll encounter smarter people than in the Econ dept, those who know how the real world actually works. Think of OR as applied econ (it’s more than that, but that gives the flavor of it). I almost did OR myself, the stochastic modeling and so on was really interesting to me.</p>
