<p>My son, an econ major, is only a freshman so I can’t say much about the classes yet, but I know that the economics department is very well respected around the world among the academics. Also with the Kellogg Certificate Program, they do have a chance to get an exposure to the financial side though you need to get selected for it. He’s is taking Linear Algebra now which he says is very challenging but the professor is great since he’s in MENU program but I am sure you don’t have to take such high level math courses from the beginning. Many students seem to be thinking about doing double majors or at least a minor with econ since NU accommodates it well…</p>
