economics

I think that the Bouve College and Engineering school are Northeastern’s academic strong points, but Arts & Sciences, like Northeastern as a whole, are getting better. I personally don’t major in it, but I am taking introductory microecon and the stuff is pretty straightforward if you keep you with the reading. Based on ratemyprofessors.com (which I went crazy for when I was choosing this term’s classes), the professors in the department are a mixed bag although mines has been pretty good this term. If you’re planning to major in Economics, I suggest you pursue a dual-major, which is easier than a double major (more courses fulfill both major’s requirements). I am/was a poli sci major and as my advisor (the head of the department) was going over degree requirements, I remember him mentioning that most econ majors do dual majors. Here’s a list of double majors: http://www.casdn.neu.edu/undergraduate/dual.html

Good luck with your college decisions
