ED 1 2024

Hi everyone! I’m nervous but excited. Where is everyone from? I’m from New Hampshire.

I’m from Connecticut! I’m freaking out about the upcoming decision date, but I had a dream that I got into Wellesley last night so maybe that’s a good omen? What are y’all thinking of majoring in? What did you write your supplements on?

I literally had two dreams about getting rejected and one about getting accepted. Stressing out a lot…

@terminator1 I can’t even count the number of times I’ve cried about Wellesley already. This week is going to be miserable. Also, I’m behind on my other supplements, so if Thursday doesn’t go well for me (which it probably won’t) I’m absolutely SCREWED.

@HarmoniousD SAME. I try to write other supplements but end up on Wellesley website all the time smh

@terminator1 and @HarmoniousD ME TOO! I am only applying to 5 schools (risky ik), and refuse to write the other ones. I like those schools too, and would be so excited to get in, but Wellesley is everything to me. I just keep obsessing over it and I need to distract myself. I’ll be getting my hair cut when the news comes out so it’ll be a very tumultuous day emotionally lol. I’m from Austin, Texas!

I have a lot of supplements due January 15th, I’m so stressed. I have a project to work on too so I need to focus on that but I can’t focus very well.

I’m American but I live in Shanghai! International applicants where you at

hey @americasinger16 I used to live in new hampshire! I was born there  I moved to India a couple of years ago

ugh I’m so stressed out I have exams rn but cannot focus yikes thursday you guys! wow

As I’ve been freaking the freak out about decisions, I’ve found reading the Women Who Will blog (link: https://blogs.wellesley.edu/admission/) really helpful. It’s an admissions blog run by Wellesley students, and they’ve got lots of great advice for all of us prospies! I started way back with the first post and I’ve been working my way to the present. Their advice really helped me to finish all of my other applications and supplements so that if I end up getting rejected, it can just feel like the end of this dream, not the end of the world. That being said, Wellesley is the most amazing place in the universe, and I hope we all get to spend the next four years of our lives together on campus!!! I’m from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ooh, also watch The Wellesley Playlist on the college’s YouTube Channel!! They play it on a loop in the admissions office and while it makes the yearning to go there a little deeper, it’s very relaxing. Even more important: watch the video This Is The Place. The long version. It’s so beautiful, and it will 110% make you cry (in a good way!!!). This is the home stretch, we’ve got to keep our spirits up!!! We’ll all end up at the beautiful, wonderful, amazing colleges we’re meant to be at, even if that doesn’t end up being Wellesley. I have faith in all of us!!!

I read a lot of the Wellesley News, especially the Artichoke. Also have any of you seen the movie Mona Lisa Smile? It’s ridiculous and a terrible portrayal of Wellesley, but it has gorgeous views of the campus and includes traditions like the hoop rolling, Wellesley News, Class colors, and traying. It’s kind of my guilty pleasure.

@HarmoniousD I know exactly what you mean about Mona Lisa Smile!! There are a couple things about it that I cannot stand, but I keep coming back for the beautiful pictures of the campus (also this is beside the point but oh my god that movie has such a beautiful soundtrack). My dad even put the movie on right after we officially submitted my application. It pairs perfectly with the millionth perusal of the handouts I picked up from my campus visit this summer XD !!! My dad says it’s better to just keep my mind off of it, but I think as long as we’re obsessing in a mostly healthy way, it should be okay!!! XD

Hi you guys! I’m from Portland, OR. I’ve been watching videos of decision reaction and am sooo nervous can’t focus on school and other supplements OMG.

@sorryimtrying Wow, such a small world! You all seem so nice and I know that we’ll all end up somewhere amazing! I think it’s so cool that we’re all from so many different places, that’s part of what I like about Wellesley. @imnotgoodatthis Thanks for the blog link, now I have something new to obsess over while I wait for Thursday.

I held up a picture of Hillary Clinton when she was at Wellesley as I submitted my application  @imnotgoodatthis, how is it living in Iowa right now? Is there a ton of primary stuff going on around you? (Can you tell I’m applying as a prospective poli sci major?)

omg I watched Mona Lisa Smile (for like the 7th time lol) a few days ago! Though not. really accurate, it’s so heartwarming and relatable in some senses. I have a countdown clock going saved on my desktop (5 days 2 hours 48 mins and 50 sec) and am so excited to think that in less than I week I could possibly be putting “Wellesley 24” in my instagram bio lol

@HarmoniousD A ton is a bit of an understatement!! Iowa has been crawling with political candidates since May!!! I live in the Corridor, which tends to be the most liberal area of the state (two of our three states universities are in the area, too) so we’re really the hot spot (you might not remember but there’s a meme of Hillary saying she’s “just chilling in Cedar Rapids”). You’d be hard pressed to find a teen in the area who doesn’t have a picture of themselves standing next to their favorite presidential hopeful on their Instagram!!! This will be my first year caucusing, so as soon as I find out from Wellesley (and possibly send out the last of my applications) that will be my next priority!!!

oh my gosh you guys, I’m so incredibly nervous
