Have you come to campus and had an interview (a good interview holds a lot of weight)? Are you in contact w/ anyone in the admissions office? These are the things you should be focussing on. I got in ED 1, only took one AP course and my GPA was nowhere near yours, but I gave a great interview, did an overnight, and showed them the personality I had behind all the stats. They get numbers thrown at them all day, give them something more than that to make their decision on.

ya I’m actually going to look and interview on thursday. I’m pretty good with adults and present myself pretty well so I think (hope) the interview will leave a good impression, plus I sorta have practice interviews at skidmore and brandeis. gpa nowhere near mine as in it was way higher or lower?

Our interviewers are rising seniors at the school, so that whole adult thing won’t be necessary. Just be yourself b/c no one can spot BS like another kid, and they’ll evaluate you on that kind of stuff too. I said this in another post, you’re not a prize winning horse you’re a smart talented applicant, so show them that.

My GPA was lower. I swear my personality got me into this school b/c I’m always amazed at the GPAs people say they had in high school. lol

I got a five on the euro ap and a four on lit. I think the interview went pretty well, not amazingly, though. do kids typically do anything special because wes doesnt have a supplement? or is it pretty much just the commonapp?

well first I’m female, sorry forgot to specify that. I probably could play lacrosse at wes but I don’t really want to. I know they dont get a lot of kids from the midwest so I think that could help a bit, and two kids from my school will be going next year so hopefully that could create a good relationship w/ my school. I’m currently reading gatekeepers though and getting progessively less confident i think haha.

The book is just that, a book. Go off of the experiences you’ve had thus far. Continue to show interest, come back for another visit during the academic year, sit in on some classes, arrange an overnight w/ the kids from your high school you said will be freshmen here, basicly, don’t let that interview be the last time they see/ or hear from you personally.
