ED Deferrals' Countdown to RD

yah mine went i found a pton community on LJ from which i saw one of phil’s posts about the yahoo community which i then joined and THEN on the yahoo pton '09 links i found cc. i think cc was my best discovery.

my obsessed-with-the-harvard-forum friend simply linked me to this in September. Now I too am obsessed.

And I agree, I have no idea how you all accumulate so many posts. I’ve been around since ED and I’ve only just passed 50. I guess I’m slow in every sense of the word. sulks

Yeah, pre-ED was where all the post gods racked up their arsenal. We had about a billion lounge threads. It was crazy…crazy fun that is! Haha. Yeah, chat tonight. Boo yeah!

Chat tonight? Link me up, Phil!!!

And that’s too cute that you showed these posts to Cookie-son, C-mom. I hope the knowledge that he has his own CC fan club calmed his fears. ;)

I’ve just been rejected by Columbia! I see it has begun. smiles

I don’t think any rejection will sink in until the Princeton one comes in.

ouch, sorry princetonruby. Don’t worry, the big huge onslaught is about to start. We will all be in the same boat as you.

I am starting to wonder why I want the time to come so quickly for decisions. Before I find out, I am in a sort of utopia, where I am still in the running. But after a rejection, it is like… that was it. I am feeling a little bit crappy now.

I hope you get in to Pton. I hope a lot of us get into Pton (truthfully, all of us, but that is a bit of a miracle). Good luck, and keep your head high!

On with some more waiting…

That’s a disappointment, PrincetonRuby. Good luck with your other schools and, of course, good luck to everyone on this board! Currently I’m mulling over what to chuck at the mailman if he doesn’t bring me fat envelopes. ;)

Thanks guys. I’m actually not too upset b/c I have something great to fall back on (Cornell). It really does make a difference.

I had a dream last night - in it, I was accepted to all five of the Ivy’s I applied to. When I woke up, I thought to myself “Of course I would uber-jinx myself in a subconscious state”. But then I realized that the decisions have been made and it is not possible to jinx oneself anymore.

So that’s right guys, I’m SO GOING TO MAKE PRINCETON!!! YEAH!!!

ME TOO! Let’s roll!

…lol. We’ll see soon enough.

You go, PrincetonRuby!

Chariots of Fire plays

AH SUCH GREAT MUSIC. not actually great, but has such an amazing comedic effect. put anything to slow-mo and that song and ur good.

has any body tried stairway to heaven on double the speed… now that’s interesting

Hahaha, so true, peg. So true.

Can someone explain to me about how princeton lets people know? I’m a big sis and a boy in my brother’s class (he’s a senior now) already found out that he was rejected from princeton but also that he found out that he got into Harvard. My brother didn’t hear back from either of these schools yet! and PrincetonRuby, I go to Cornell, ED kid myself, and its a fantastic school, I love it!

Chrysanthemum: That’s awesome, maybe I’ll see you up there! If I succeed in overthrowing my parents, I will probably be at Cornell next year. As for decisions, Princeton mails out letters… I think we agreed on the 31st. I don’t know how your brother’s friend knows he’s been rejected. Maybe he’s assuming he has? I mean, I’m fairly sure I’ve been rejected because as a New Yorker, my acceptance package should have arrived today had I been so lucky. Harvard was supposed to email their decisions yesterday: I, like many others, received my rejection electronically last night. I also received a letter by mail today, maybe you’re located farther away?

Good luck to your brother, and to everyone on the board!!

thanks for the luck…I’ll need it

Princeton letters received in NJ today. Unfortunately, child was rejected…or should I say…child not accepted…or perhaps, It’s Princeton’s loss…!!!

Ahh, sorry about that, MommyPain. I’ll be joining your daughter shortly on the thin-envelope side of the line, so I can definitely feel her pain. My condolences.

Sorry, MommyPain - I’m sure it’s Princeton’s loss.

I can’t help but be obsessive: was the letter sent regular mail or first class?

I don’t know if it was regular mail or what. Child is at home and I am at work. Whichever way it was sent, we are 40 minutes away from Pton. They could have sent it carrier pigeon and it would have gotten here in the same amount of time.

Anyway, Princeton’s loss is Johns Hopkins gain!
