Send your first quarter marks, but do what you can to get us your semester grades as quickly as possible. Fax or mail works, but fax is (obviously) faster.

If you know what your semester grades are, but your school can’t send the official report until after we would need it - this happens mostly for legitimate bureaucratic reasons - you can send in an ‘unofficial’ report. If that means that you ask your teachers for your grades a little early and then fax in the list yourself, then do that. We will, obviously, check the grades you give against the Official grade report when it comes in, and if anything is amiss, that would be bad. (I say that because I have to, not because I think youd do that.) If you can only get us a couple of classes grades, then do that. Anything is better than nothing and the more you can give the better.

This is similar to what we do with the testing you would list on the common app; it acts as a placeholder until we get the official report. Our stance is: Trust, but verify.
