ED Notification

It’s not a matter of being easier. The ACT tests more subject knowledge. It’s the reason a few colleges and universities will accept the ACT with the writing component as a substitute for the SAT IIs (subject tests). But most will simply accept the ACT with writing component as a total substitute for the SAT. The SAT tests, among other things, your ability to figure out the tricks on the test. It’s more of an aptitude test than a subject matter test. That’s why some schools require, in addition to SAT 1s, SAT IIs, which are subject matter tests.

Some people actually score lower on the ACT than the SAT. You did slightly better on the ACT. Your 28 converts to an 1860 on the SAT. That’s what, an 80 point difference from your actual SAT score? That’s not much easier, it’s slightly easier—for you. Nevertheless, it is better, so I’d advise you to go with it.
