<p>Based on a careful review of your Early Decision application to Emory College, the Admission Committee has decided to defer your application to our Regular Decision group. Regular Decision applicants will receive their final admission decision by April 1, 2013. </p>
<p>We appreciate and recognize your strong interest in Emory College and look forward to a further review of your candidacy. You may be a competitive candidate, but the admission committee would like additional time to render an informed decision on your application in the context of our complete applicant pool. Please see that your first semester senior year grades are sent for inclusion in your application file, as well as any other new information, such as additional standardized test scores, updates to your non-academic achievements, or any changes in your current course selection. <p>Another option to consider is starting your Emory education on our Oxford campus. Oxford is the birthplace of Emory and is a competitive undergraduate college within the University offering students the option of a small campus environment. Oxford provides a liberal arts intensive curriculum for the freshmen and sophomore years of one’s Emory baccalaureate degree. After successfully completing two years at Oxford, students may automatically continue to Emory in Atlanta where all students graduate with an Emory University degree. If you have not already applied directly, your Emory College application can now serve as your application to Oxford. In order to be considered for a position in the first year class at Oxford College, please complete our online request form by December 31, 2012. Please note, you may receive a decision of admit, deny, defer or waitlist from the Oxford College Admission Committee. </p>
