I did not know that Williams or Amherst existed until I moved to New England, but I did know most of the other aforementioned schools that are “ranked ahead” of Tufts, including schools like UMiami, Rutgers. And Amherst and Williams are clearly more prestigious than most of the aforementioned schools. Name recognition≠prestige.
