Elitism in respect to people who smoke/drink?

I’m with Plattsburgh and the others. I think anyone who can’t say “it’s your life, buddy” is high-strung. Do I necessarily agree with drinking/smoking? Nope. But do I care if YOU do it? Not one bit.

As for the question of people “not wanting people coming back to their room drunk/high” I can understand that. It DOES affect your roomie, especially if they don’t do it. On the drunk side, you’ve got someone coming back to your room when maybe you’re trying to unwind/study/sleep who’s maybe loud, obnoxious, or throwing up. If they’re high, I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as a tobacco smoker, who would come back and smell like smoke, and the room would smell like smoke. All cases apply to people who may try to “bring the party home” with them every thur/frii/sat night, you know?

I think if both parties are being respectful, who the hell cares? We’re all old enough to do whatever we want, right? :P
