<p>I watched the video. The snobby lady didn’t come across as a very sympathetic character. However in the interest of fairness, do we know what transpired prior to the video? Perhaps the train attendant spoke to this lady in a not-so-respectful way before she was being recorded. Maybe she said something that caused the “snobby lady” to be defensive about her speech or education.</p>

<p>I’m just saying that the snobby lady is being vilified all over the world now, based on a few moments of snatched conversation. It could be very unfair.</p>

<p>According to the news shows, she was apparently engaged in a loud conversation with someone and using profanity. She was apparently asked to talk more softly and without profanity.</p>

<p>I don’t know if this is common elsewhere, but there are some commuter rail lines here which offer quiet cars. If you make noise, they kick your butt right off.</p>

<p>Zm- did you see the clip in post #31 (“cellphone lady”)? IIRC, she was in a quiet car but yakked for 16 hrs!!! :eek: before getting the boot from the train! 16 hrs nonstop (her talking, not the train!)</p>
