Emails/phone calls from Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH)?

Here’s my theory. NMH, like all schools, is concerned about its rankings. It is a superior school that aspires to be among the very elite. The size of its student body, however, make one important ranking look unfavorable. That is, selectivity. NMH has a student body of 600 students. Other schools, say Middlesex (for example), have a student body not much more than half its size. So if each gets 1000 applicants, NMH takes a far greater % to fill its class. So, to combat this, NMH is very aggressive in recruiting students to at least apply.
