<p>I’m not a student but a parent. My daughter didn’t get into the theme housing she wanted but instead she’s in a regular dorm. Not one of the nice new ones but rather an older one (Harris). She’s in a double and all I can say is that she loves her dorm, her roomate has become her best friend and even though the dorm isn’t right in the middle of campus it’s not far from the action and just happens to be next to the library which is where she does 90% of her studying.</p>
<p>What you’ll find is that your kid will be fine regardless of the dorm she’s in. I don’t know any of my D’s Emory classmates that don’t love the school and the dorm makes no difference in that. Besides, a week after the kids move in all rooms look like a pig stye anyway :)</p>
