<p>well, if the person is not getting in ED, (and then would NEED to apply to other schools), they weren’t scholar material anyway.</p>
<p>If they get in via ED, they won’t be applying (or at least having to pull their apps) at better schools) and Emory doesn’t ‘need / want’ to consider them for Emory Scholars.</p>
<p>I’d love to be proven wrong, but in general that’s what I’ve heard about schools in general - they know they have you hooked so there’s no need for them to reward you for your great standing / performance in high school. Again, I want to be proven wrong.</p>
