@skctransfer Damn dude you’re absolutely shredding California, congrats!!!
My parents REALLY want me to go to UCLA… but I just got accepted to Emory, so I’m excited. It’s my dream school!
@VANDEMORY1342 Emory is an amazing school I’d be lucky to be accepted to. Isaid Berkeley is better than Emory (it is in some respects, equal in others, worse in others). You said “if I’m so smart I should transfer to Harvard” and “good luck at Podunk U.” You decided to take things a step further and make the conversation hostile as all hell. Even if I’m bitter, I didn’t start the bigger issue here.
@gaokaomaster ah. Case is good for engineering, particularly BME, but not as much for math/stats from what I know.
@skctransfer those are totally random admission results!
@skctransfer Are you from cali? ahhh i really wanted to apply to UCLA but the aid is pretty harsh for out-of-state kids. UNC and UVA have given me full rides so far so I’m pretty damn hype.
@fugazinikka is that all need-based, or is there merit money in there also? Just wondering if they give merit aid
Disclaimer: no hostility towards anyone for real for real. Congrats to all those who got in! To those who didn’t, like myself, Emory seemed extra tough this year, keep hope alive
@SeinfeldFan1 need-based for the most part. aid is absolutely crucial for me to be able to attend any of these universities so i was pretty diligent in researching aid policies.
@fugazinikka where are you leaning towards
@fugazinikka yes, im from California! And oh my god?! CONGRATS, THAT’S AMAZING!! My friend got accepted to both as well and thinks he’s gonna go with UVA! What about you?
I’m still waiting to hear back from like 7 more schools so idk as of yet. pretty much the best school I am fortunate enough to get into. Aid > Prestige for sure though…
@Dontskipthemoose sorry forgot to tag you haha
Yeah! Berkeley gave me $13,000, and I don’t know for UCLA yet. But I’m in-state so nothing is too bad. We find out about Emory in 2 days for financial aid I think. That’s a big deal for me because out of state is soooo expensive
@skctransfer You’re a shoo in for UCLA as well! It’d be so lit to see the ball brothers play I envy you.
So how did transfers overall look this year? Was it significantly tougher than previous years?
ACCEPTED!!!
