@literali : Even if you are Asian, anything beyond say, 2250 is pretty much diminished returns…places like Yale and WashU get plenty of applicants in that range and deny a huge amount. Seems places like Stanford and Duke do as well. Being “top notch” in there eyes would be more like medalling at the USABO or something. At this point, it became a matter of who you are associated with (legacy status), a sports hook, or what I just said. Cause honestly, the NMF puts you in the “top notch” range automatically.
