Emory vs. UVA

Full disclosure, I go to Emory, so I’m obviously a bit biased in my response, but I just wanted to reply to some of the things posted by goblue26:

I think you’re looking at grad school ratings for UVA/Emory’s business schools. For undergraduate business rankings, Emory’s Goizueta Business School ranked 3rd this year while UVA’s undergraduate business school was ranked 2nd. Honestly, the difference between 2nd and 3rd is miniscule.

I see what you’re saying, but I think you also have to take into consideration that Emory’s acceptance rate of students from georgia is probably higher than from those out of state, which raises its acceptance rate. Again, I think comparing the acceptance rates when they’re so close together is fairly pointless.

I think you should choose what school you’re going to attend based on which place you want to spend 4 years in. Emory is smaller, private, and in Atlanta. UVA is a bit bigger, public, and in Charlottesville. Good luck with your decision!
