<p>I looked through the Penn State/Pitt thread and wasn’t able to find where anyone said that Pitt was “better” than Penn State, though there were a few mentions of Pitt’s engineering school being “top notch.” Rankings can be interesting but, for me anyway, they’re a small part of the puzzle. I would hope that prospective students wouldn’t rely on them too heavily when chosing a school. In any case, there are various rankings out there that look at all different kinds of things. Pitt does very well in some of them.
