<p>Most engineers do 5 years with two or three co-ops because its one of the hardest majors/colleges to condense down to 4 years.</p>
<p>Here, 3.3 is about average for my engineer friends. It’s a tough group. But its a field that can’t really be replaced by anything else if thats what you want to do, so its worth it to them.</p>
<p>Seriously, don’t pick a school because the engineering students here spend one hour more or less on homework a day than at some other school… Chances are, you’ll spend the same amount of time working at one school as you would at another- it’s about the effort YOU put in. And it will vary greatly by what classes you are taking each semester. Pick a school because you love it and it offers everything you want, not because you think you’ll have a .1 higher gpa than at someplace else.</p>
