<p>The full tuition scholarships pay for a max of 120 credit hours and 8 semesters. Many of the engineering degrees require 128 to 134, and sometimes more, credit hours. I believe auburn tries to structure it so that these extra credits are in the summer of either the 2nd or 3rd year, not an entire extra year. </p>
<p>Of course, Auburn is great about giving out extra scholarships. It’s not uncommon for a student with good grades to pick up an extra $2-$10K in various scholarships handed out from and threw Auburn, after being enrolled into the school.</p>
