<p>Some universities will not give any additional credit for both English Literature and English Language, compared to one of them.</p>
<p>Some universities or parts of universities give more credit for one over the other. For example, [UC</a> Berkeley’s College of Letters and Science](<a href=“http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirement/rc.html]UC”>Reading & Composition | L&S Advising) gives credit for one semester of the required Reading and Composition courses for a score of 4 on either, but gives credit for both semesters of the requirement for a score of 5 on English Literature (not English Language).</p>
<p>Check the universities you are interested in for what their policies on credit for these AP tests are.</p>
