I am an CHP Electrical Engineering major at UCI and the Winter Quarter course schedule has been posted. But, I am excused from taking Hum Core for this year due to schedule conflicts.

For winter quarter, I can enroll in professor Tait or Professor Rajaraman.
I would like to know which professor is better to enroll in?

I was also wondering what GE course fufilling the Arts and Humanities requirement would be an easy A? It would be nice if the course also fufills another GE requirement.

I wonder why math qourses never have the professors listed until later. Because i know some math professors are way worse than others. Either way I am going to enroll in MATH 2D for Winter Quarter. I would like to know which Math professors are good for MATH 2D.

As for a Math 2D teacher, I had Wan this quarter, and a friend had Zheng, and I did attend a lecture for Zheng, and she seems better, but in the end, they both have a pretty thick accent. Also, I can’t even guarantee that you will have the same teacher Winter quarter.

it helps when you mention what class/department the professor is in.

and:
the math department doesnt release which professors are teaching which sections because they haven’t finalized it yet. <– their official answer

I personally think it’s because if they released the professor’s names, people would just sign up for the good ones (and there are some really bad ones). this is their way of making sure kids sign up for the classes that fit their time. for one, the graduate classes mostly have their professors listed already, so it’s not like theres that much chaos regarding who is teaching what.

and any professor could teach math 2d. it’s a fairly low level course. it’s not like upper div courses where they assign the specialists.

I have Wan and I actually do prefer him to the lady. She speaks a bit softer, the classroom is worse, and she writes in cursive. I mean, in all reality, neither are that good, but the guy tends to have a very slight sense of humor about him while the lady just seems extremely uptight. As for learning, I don’t know what you prefer, but yeah, Wan’s classroom is nice.

I think I might enroll in Professor Tait for Physics 7C for Winter Quarter.

As for Math 2D, hopefully I will not end up with a mean professor.

But, I am still unable to decide on what Humanities course to enroll in for fufilling the GE requirements.

I know the Honors Program has a required Humanities Core, but I was excused from it due to unit enrollment issues for Fall Quarter. (Hum Core is 8 units)

Are there any Humanities Courses fufilling Humanities GE requirements that are easy to well in? (Many A’s are given for that course)

Theres women studies. I dont know the course number, but it takes off two categories of your GE requirements. one from humanities and one from multicultural studies. Its an easy A from what I;ve heard.

Really? You liked Wan, I think he has a pretty thick accent, and speeds through his lectures. I sat in on one Zheng’s classes, and I did note the things you pointed out about her, but to me she seemed like she went a little slower, but maybe it was only because I was listening to the same lecture that day for the second time.
