Essay and Recs?

<p>KU admissions (like many large publics) is based on the numbers, they don’t look at essays and resumes. If you meet the requirements, you will be admitted! My S is also OOS and heard back very quickly (email first then snail mail packet) 2 years ago. I don’t know if you saw this, but if you send your test scores ahead and meet the requirements, you can be admitted within 48 hours. My S literally got his congrats email 36 hours after hitting the submit button. Good luck and let us know when you hear back. My S just loves KU!</p>

Out-of-State Residents :
Achieve an ACT score of 24 or above or an *SAT score of 1090 or above, or
Rank in the top one-third of their high-school class.
Earn at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0-point scale in the Kansas Board of Regents Curriculum, or
*SAT combined score from Math and Critical Reading (verbal) sections only.</p>

You can be admitted within 48 hours:
If you are applying for admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences or the School of Engineering (excludes architectural engineering).
If you apply online and pay the fee.
If KU has your test score on file at the time you apply and you meet the test score requirement. See test scores listed previously for automatic admission into the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. For the School of Engineering (excluding architectural engineering), you must have a 28 math score (640 math SAT) and a 26 overall ACT composite (1170 SAT) for automatic admission.
