<p>It depends on your skin color. There are usually two categories: are you more pink pigment in your skin, or do you have more yellow pigment (in other words, are you peachy pale or are you some shade of tan)?</p>
<p>If you have pale skin, stick to cool colors. If you’re tan or have a lot of yellow pigment, stick to warmer colors. Like if you wanted pink, go with carnation if you’re more pale, but salmon if you’re tan. It does make a difference.</p>
<p>A deep rich violet can go either way, but most guys don’t seem to be into the purple.</p>
<p>I think every guy should have a nice kelly green polo… but not forest green. Forest green is too working-class-teen uniform.</p>
<p>If your that much of a man you should be able to wear any color on the rainbow and still be comfortable with your sexuality. Unless you have to wear “manly” colors to feel like a guy, in which case there must be some doubt if you NEED a blue or green to reassure you that you’re a guy. . . Girls like men who are comfortable wearing pink. It shows you’re not afraid of what people think. Last time I checked boldness and bravery were turn ons. . . </p>
<p>As to basic 5 colors, I would say:</p>
<p>Navy blue, white (maybe 2 because they could get dirty fast, and they’re good for layering), orange, yellow, and green (any shade, but I REALLY like a kind of grassy, darker than lime green color). I would say black, except I think it fades too easily and a faded black looks old, and not neat. I woulnd’t say pink is an essential, but it’s nice if you are bold enough to wear it. At preppy schools you don’t even have to be bold, it is just acceptable.</p>
<p>I don’t really like pink. Get dark grey, brown, light blue. I don’t like navy blue; it’s too typical for a polo. Never pair pink and grey. You’ll look like a rat.</p>
