<p>Thanks, daxzzler. That makes me feel VERY relieved. 
I think, blood quantum-wise, I am just .0025 percent under the minimum requirement, unfortunately. It becomes a moot point anyway, though, because none of my ancestors signed the Baker Roll of 1924, another one of the requirements to joining the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.</p>
<p>I was always interested in the tribe, even before it became an issue for admissions. And, even though I haven’t come up with enough proof to officially enroll in a tribe, I still had a wonderful time researching my family history, and I will probably continue my research even after admissions have come and gone. So, it’s not like I didn’t gain anything from the experience.</p>
