When Stanford looks at your application and decide whether they want you to be the 800 lucky SCEA students or not, the only thing they have not done is probably to call you. They don’t care what you have written on your application, like they don’t care much about your SAT/AP scores. They will get the info they need about you.

They will get less than 20 (on average) students from each state. Don’t count that you write one way or the other will change your luck. Above all, applying to Stanford is like crapshoot, nobody knows what will happen, and there is not truth in this, only lucky examples.
