You know him, not me =) He probably is a nice kid. And ‘emo’ probably means something very different in your school that it does in mine. At my high school, the ‘emo’ kids pull their black hoods over their heads and crouch in the corners of the hallway… allll dayyy… They never move, I swear…!

Yea, emo kids are loved by all here.

if you guys reread the past 4ish pages…youll realize how “nerdy” it sounds. however, im a self-acclaimed nerd so dont feel insulted

Thank you, so much.

Maybe I’m biased against emo kids because an emo girl who used to be on my radio shift requested that my friend and I be moved off the shift. Eh.

But then again… THAT could have been because we were ruthlessly mocking the screamo playing. Yes… hmm. That -may- have been it.

Perhaps, perhaps.

snoop, you should hide your hatred for me better. it might hurt my tender soul when your barbed words strike at me with such brutish force.

That made absolutely no sense.

Emo according to urbandictionary.com:
Punk music on estrogen. Often acoustic guitar with soft, high male vocals that dwell exessively on the singer’s feelings, especially melancholy remembrances of past relationships/mistakes in life. A form of music that diverged from punk in the '80s, the name “emo” is derived from the emotive style of the lyrics and music. This genre has lately been marketed heavily by the music industry to teenagers with bands such as Dashboard Confessional and Taking Back Sunday, and has seen much commercial and mainstream success. The music has also spawned a subculture which conforms to certain conventions in dress such as tight sweatshirts, tight band T-shirts and horn-rim glasses. Adherents profess to exessively melancholy temperments. Males that adhere to the emo subculture are sometimes confused with metrosexuals; indeed the line between the two is somwhat blurred, though both groups claim to be intouch with their emotional side. The ephemeral and hackneyed nature of emo songwriting suggests that its audience will be restricted largely to teenagers. the genre suffers from a lack of credibility outside the aforementioned demographic group, much like current Nu Metal bands.

^Yeah, I know, I thought about printing that out and giving it to him. But we’re not that good of friends yet. I’ll give it time.

Snoop, I have yet to be given an essay or email address. The email of your school or of your parentals will suffice. Failure to produce one or the other by midnight will result in your sentencing to “Everyone’s Favorite Thread” for life without the possibility of parole. If that is the case, good luck because I hear LesOs has been looking for a new cell mate. Beware the soap! But to avoid this, please produce the essay or email.

Thank you,

Prof. Log.

Reading the first 20 pages or so of this thread makes me laugh
And why everyone be copying my lingo callin snoop “snoop”???

Don’t flatter yourself Ven, it is the most obvious abbreviation…your lingo is weak. Please do not interfere with the class environment.

Thanks,

Prof. Log.

(ps…I know you go to school in TN snoop!)

“good luck because I hear LesOs has been looking for a new cell mate”
… what?

Technically, true emo is more Rites of Spring, Jawbreaker, Sunny Day Real Estate-ish… not Senses Fail, Underoath, Matchbook Romance, and the like. Interesting fact: the ‘original’ and ‘second wave’ emo bands actually changed their sound to avoid being labeled as emo.

“…hackneyed nature of emo songwriting…”
Ha. The music snob within me laughs cruelly!

I’m tired. I get cranky when I haven’t gotten enough sleep =)

cranky when not enough sleep? Sounds like more incentive for snoop to do the assignment!

Today I’ve spent pretty much the whole day in CC! Really slacked the whole day! (I’m REALLY angry w/ me right now!)

Waddup dawgz.

Your sentence starts NOW snoop.

Perhaps I wasn’t clear the first time. Shut your face.

It feels like an eternity since the last time I was here; even though it was last thursday!
