It’s probably what you get from living in the middle of nowhere instead of by one of those big metropolitan areas full of Asians and Jews who push for their kids to do everything to get into Harvard.

I think I’d freak out in a big metro area. Ok, maybe not, but I’m pretty much mesmerized whenever I go to the twin cities.

How big are the twin cities? I live right outside DC but rarely go into the city. I love the suburbs.

Ummm… half the population of Minneosta? I don’t know. I live like 4-5 hours north of them.

I don’t mind cities… I live about an hour from chicago and go in fairly often. but I really don’t think I could live in one.

I have interesting news.

Do tell !

Isn’t that something?

Not exactly. Yet it sho ain’t nothin.

I’m happy. This gets my foot in Harvard’s door, then, the world!!!

Gosh I’m bored.

and dumb. (haha snoop, you werent even worth 10 char but they forced me to be nice)

S O M E O N E ’ S J E A L O U S…

The American Pageant is my APUSH book… which I’m sure you’ve inferred from subsequent conversation by now.

I’m in love with it (the American Pageant). No joke. It’s hilarious. Here’s a little gem:
“Roosevelt should be remembered first and foremost as the cowboy who started to tame the bucking bronco of adolescent capitalism, thus ensuring it a long adult life.”

Ahh. It’s too great. Thank you, Thomas A. Bailey, David M. Kennedy, and Lizabeth Cohen for writing such a masterpiece.

I read “Enduring Vision.” It uses the words “mulatto” and “antebellum” the more than any other book known to man.

We used…

America
Past and Present

lablondie, I believe that your thread has died now that we are talking about AUPSH books.

I’m glad I don’t take US history until junior year. Then again, I am not, because I know my junior year will be crapizzle.
