<p>How fair is this? There are two major public high schools in my school district (the third is for disciplinary problems, etc).</p>
<p>The OTHER school allows exam exemptions - like some of you mentioned. MY school, on the other hand, not only has a more difficult grading scale (according to some of my friends at the other school), but we aren’t allowed to exempt anything. Now tell me, does this seem fair? It seems to me that everything should be consistant across the district…</p>
<p>In the past, my school got a bad rap for being the “rich kids who do nothing except smoke weed” (which isn’t true as far as I can tell), yet this year we have 9 National Merit Semis compared to 2 at the other school (both of whom transferred there due to our wonky districting and transfer policies). </p>
<p>Sorry. That was a little rant moment. But I’m SOOOO jealous of those of you who get the exempt from exams!</p>
